BARROW 0 - 2 Carlisle Utd

Barrow boss, Phil Wilson, said he was pleased with Barrow's 0-2 reverse at the hands of League One outfit Carlisle United.

Speaking after the game he said that it was a good run-out and that he felt Barrow matched their Football League opponents for the last half hour of the first half.

"With Carlisle having the advanatge of being able to bring on pairs of frsh legs at the break, that obviosly made things difficult" said the Barrow Manager.

He again appealed to local players to come and have a try out in the pre-season and was pleased with the 888 crowd, which was swelled considerably with Carlisle's superb visiting support.

Wilson explained that his attacking options had been limited today by the absence of Matt Henney (wedding) and Chris Thomson (Wife in hospital) and that he only wants to ease son Kyle back in very gradually.

Both absentees should be available for Tuesday's trip to Clitheroe.

Josh Gay and Chris Pritchard also were in the squad for this one, both coming on as subs.
