Michael Oliver - Midfielder

Born in Middlesbrough, Mike began his career with Middlesbrough as a trainee but failed to break into their first team. He moved to Stockport County for the 1994-95 season and made a total of 22 league appearances for the Edgeley Park club, scoring once before returning to the North East and joining Darlington. He spent four seasons as a regular with the Quakers, making 151 league appearances and scoring 14 times. In the summer of 2000 he joined Rochdale and over the past three seasons made 102 league appearances for them netting 9 goals. He was released in the summer and joined Barrow in August 2003. Michael made his debut in the draw at Droylsden on the opening day of the season. He missed a number of games late in the season through injury and he did not rejoin the club for the 2004-05. Instead he joined a club nearer his Middlesborough home - Spennymoor United and later had a spell with Newcastle Blue Star before joining Gateshead in June 2006. Left Gateshead in October 2006, joining Durham City.
