Tony Hopper - Defender

Born in Carlisle, Tony began his career with Carlisle United as a trainee and graduated to their full time ranks. He made his League debut for the Cumbrians during the 1992-93 season and during the 1993-94 season he had a spell on loan at Barrow when he played six games, scoring once. He also had a spell away from Brunton Park during the 2000-01 season with Bohemians in the League of Ireland. He was released by Carlisle United in the summer of 2002 and returned to Holker Street, making his bow in the first away game of the 2002-03 season at Runcorn Halton. He made his final appearance in the home game against Whitby Town in early September. He was released later that month and joined Workington.
