Karl Colley - Defender

Born in Sheffield, Karl began his career with Newcastle United as a trainee and then moved to Sheffield United where he featured regularly in the reserves. He was released in March 2003 and joined Kettering Town for the remainder of the 2002-2003 season. In August 2003 he joined Frickley Athletic in the Unibond League. In December he returned to the Conference with Halifax Town but failed to claim a regular place. In March 2004, he joined Hucknall Town and featured in the run in as they lifted the Unibond Premier Division title. In August 2004 he joined Bradford Park Avenue but was released after the first ten games of the season. He joined Barrow in September 2004 and made his debut in the defeat at Altrincham and at the end of last season he collected the Porgramme "Star Man" player of the year award. Karl's contract with the club was terminated by mutual consent in September 2005 and he signed for Unibond outfit Stocksbridge Park Steels where he linked up with ex Bluebirds Wayne Bullimore and Steve Gaughan. Joined Retford United of the NCE League in the summer of 2006. Moved to Sheffield FC in the summer of 2007. In January 2008 he was on the move again, this time to Conference North Alfreton Town for a brief period, joining Lincoln United in February 2008.
