Darren Edmondson - Defender

Born in Ulverston, Darren, now 33, began his career as a trainee with Carlisle United. He graduated through to the first team and made 214 league appearances for the Cumbrians, scoring nine times. During the 1996-97, season he moved to Huddersfield Town where he stayed for just over three seasons although his appearances were restricted by injuries. He made 37 league appearances for them without scoring. He also had a four game loan spell with Plymouth Argyle. During the 1999-200 season, Darren joined York City and he stayed with the Minstermen until they lost their Football League place in May 2004, making 131 League appearances, scoring six times. Last season he was with Chester City. He joined Barrow in August 2004 and made his debut in the home win over Hednesford. Left in January 2006 and signed for Workington Reds.
