Jamie Speare - Goalkeeper

Age 29. Born in Liverpool, Jamie began his career as a trainee with Everton but failed to breakthrough to first team football. He was released in early 1997 and joined Darlington where he made 3 league appearances on trial before being released. He then joined Cwmbran in the League of Wales before having brief spells in the autumn of 1997 with Hyde United and Droylsden. Jamie joined Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland in December 1997 and then had a brief spell with Bury before joining Accrington Stanley in August 1998. Held down a regular place as Stanley progressed through the Unibond First and Premier Divisions to the Nationwide Conference. Released by Stanley in the summer of 2004 and joined Lancaster City. Left the Giant Axe in March 2005 and joined Southport. Was released by the Sandgrounders at the end of the 2005-06 season and immediately joined Barrow. After an indifferent season, Jamie was released in June 2007 and joined Colwyn Bay.
