Jason Walker - Forward

Striker. Squad No 9: Age 25 Born in Barrow, Jason played soccer locally until he was 16 when he joined Scottish club Dundee. He stayed a Dens Park for four seasons without making a real breakthrough. He left the Tayside club in the summer of 2004 and joined Greenock Morton. He was a regular squad member and played regularly in the Scottish Second and Third Division for them before being released and joining Morecambe in January 2007, scoring on his first team debut as a substitute in the FA Trophy against Mangotsfield. He was released by the Shrimps in March 2007 and joined Barrow, making his debut as a substitute in the 3-0 win at Leigh. A member of the team that won the Blue Square North play-off Final at the end of the 2007-08 season. Jason played for the England "C" team against Malta under 21s in February 2009. At the end of the 2008-09 season, Jason collected the National Supporters' Club and Evening Mail "Player of the Year" awards.
