Mark Thornley - Goalkeeper

Born in Ilkeston, Mark began his career in non-league soccer as a teenager with Alfreton Town in 1983 and went on to play with Belper Town, Sutton Town and Stafford Rangers before having spells on loan with Matlock Town and Worksop Town. He moved to the north west and joined Fleetwood Town in 1989 and was a regular with the Highbury Avenue before having a spell with Morecambe.
He joined Lancaster City in 1995 and was a regular as they won promotion to the UniBond Premier Division and consolidated their place as well as winning the UniBond Cup in the 1999-2000 season.
He joined Barrow in July 2000 and made his debut on the opening day of the season at home to Emley. However, after collecting an injury in his fourth game against Burscough, he filed to regain his place. He left the club in early October and rejoined Lancaster City. Playing for Rossendale United in October 2006 and Chorley in November, before joining Kendal Town in February 2007. Returned to Lancaster City in August 2007.
