Simon Spender - Defender
Defender. Squad No 2. Age 23. Born in Flintshire, Simon joined Wrexham as a youngster and made his way through the ranks making his first-team debut in the Football League in March 2004. He soon established himself in the Dragons first team and collected six caps for the Welsh under 21 side. Simon made 110 appearances for Wrexham, scoring five times. He joined Barrow on loan in March 2009 and made his debut in the home win over Histon. He was released by Wrexham at the end of last season and joined Barrow on a permanent deal in the summer.
