Eddie Kennedy - Midfielder

Now in his third spell with the Holker Street outfit (1998-99), 35 year old Eddie first played for Barrow in 1985 having previously played in the colours of Blackburn, Carlisle and Wigan in addition to Horwich RMI from where he signed for Barrow. After two years he left us to join Lancaster City and during his six years at the Giant Axe - which was punctuated by a brief spell with Penrith - he lifted City's "Player of the Year" award on two occasions. Since then Eddie has enjoyed two further spells with "The Bluebirds", the current one commencing as recently as January 1999. Joined Barrow for the second time as part of the deal that took Steve Holden to Lancaster City. Also had a spell in New Zealand in the latter part of his career.
